Licence Granted

A provisional Public Entertainment Licence to hold Glastonbury Festival 2003 has been granted by the regulatory board of Mendip District Council after a 7 hour meeting on Monday 17th February. In recognition of the good work done by the Melvin Benn in meeting all the terms imposed in the last licence an extra 10,000 tickets will be available to members of the public bringing the total on sale to 112,500 tickets, with 3,500 Sunday tickets for local people and 34,000 for crew and performers. So in total 150,000 people will be invited to Pilton for the world's best party at the end of June.
