Glastonbury Photo Comp Winners Announced

09 Dec 2004

In September, Glastonbury Festival Website web-surfers were invited to enter their favourite photos into our 2004 Photographic Competition. They responded in their thousands, inundating the website with a fine selection of pixellated memories, all in glorious technicolour and all under 200k in size.

It was then the task of the web editors, with the able assistance of Paul Misso, to whittle this abundance of photographs down to fifty pictures that we felt best represented Glastonbury Festival 2004.

At this point, we forwarded our fabulous fifty to Michael Eavis and a panel of judges at the Glastonbury Festival Office. After several days of careful deliberation over swathes of photographs, he finally chose the photos that he felt best represented the 2004 Festival.

Michael Eavis, Festival organizer, felt the winning three photographs “reflected the energy, enthusiasm, enjoyment and diversity of the Festival.”

"We’re delighted that so many people took part and so clearly enjoyed the festival. It was a pleasure to see so many excellent photographs.”
