Glasto 03 carbon-neutral

27 Jun 2003

An anonymous punter has single-handedly made Glastonbury 2003 carbon-neutral. Future Forests, which plants trees to offset the environmentally unfriendly carbon dioxide produced by modern humans, calculated that 1,700 trees would need to be planted to offset the carbon dioxide produced by the entire festival.

One generous benefactor paid for Future Forests to plant those 1,700 trees -- so we can all breathe a little bit easier. If you want to find out more about Future Forests, seek out their stand near the Pyramid Stage.
