Can't Get A Ticket To Glastonbury?
14 May 2003So, you couldn't get a ticket for Glastonbury and you're not prepared to pay the daft prices being quoted by dodgy touts.
Don't despair - there's still no reason why your summer should be a sad one.
While festival organisers try to dream up a scheme which would give priority in 2004 to those who missed out this year, Michael Eavis is encouraging the disappointed thousands to explore the rest of the festival circuit. And there has never been a wider choice. There are more festivals, big and small, planned for this summer than ever before, with something for every musical taste.
"I'd like people to try out the other shows and let us know what they think of them. They might not be able to offer the same things as we can but they still have a lot going for them," said Michael.
And many of the big-name bands lined up for Glastonbury are also playing at other festivals so there's no need to miss out on seeing your favourite performers.
HOMELANDS: May 24 at the Matterley Bowl in Hampshire. A favourite with the dance community with top-notch acts and world-class DJs. The line-up is said to include Soulwax, De La Soul, Groove Armada, Paul Oakenfold and the Chemical Brothers.
