Unsigned Performers Finals' Date Switch
Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to change around the dates of the finals’ nights. Our sincere apologies to everyone who may have kept these dates free ‘just in case’.
The dates will be –
Jazz World Stage 4th March
Dance Tent 5th March
Acoustic Stage 18th March
John Peel Stage 19th March
We’ll let everyone who entered for Jazz World Stage and the Dance Tent know how they’ve got on by 11th February and everyone who entered for the Acoustic Stage and John Peel Stage know by February 25th.
We’re enjoying listening to all the music but we’ve still got loads of listening to do yet!! Thank you to all the entrants for taking part in our competition.
Applications Now Closed
Applications for this year’s Unsigned Bands Competition have now closed. Good luck and thanks to all of you who entered. Each and every track sent will now be heard by the judges in an almost impossible attempt to draw up shortlists for the stage finals scheduled for March. So watch this space!
Last Year's Winners
Winners were The Subways, BlackBud (above), Bodixa, Dark Chunk and Mosiamo.
Cakeboy (right) also got a slot in the Dance Tent and over 30 entrants performed at various other venues at the Festival - including Ralfe Band who you may have heard in recent weeks in collaboration with The Mighty Boosh on Radio One's Breezeblock. Radio Avalon (the Glastonbury Festival radio station) devoted an hour a day for 6 days to their favourite tracks from all the entrants.
