Let's give our Festival a future...
Very real problems continue to face our Festival. We have just been prosecuted for the pollution caused last year. It cannot be repeated, so please read the Green Issue leaflet. We do need your help.
Thank you for buying your ticket, as it helps support some great causes. Please remind anyone without a ticket not to bother to try coming.
Entering
- Get friends' tickets to them before they leave for the Festival; it will be impossible to meet at the gates.
- Be prepared to show your ticket on the way in or on catching the shuttle bus.
- Don't give your ticket to anyone, even if they look like stewards, until you get to the turnstiles. Until then keep your ticket secure.
Please trust the Passout System and make sure that you comply with it if you leave and plan to return.
You've already paid for your souvenir programme by buying a ticket, so collect it on entering, along with your handy Guardian Guide. You can buy extra programmes at Information Points.
Children
- Children aged 12 and under have free entry if accompanied by an adult.
- We have two areas dedicated to providing children with fun entertainment.
- Directions to quieter or less dense places to camp are held and updated by Campsite Stewards. There is also a Family Camping Field.
Advice
- Only bring what you can afford to lose.
- When packing, remember you will be carrying all your stuff a long, long way - twice - so travel light. Virtually all of your needs, except shelter, can be met on site.
- The Pilton Village shop will not be selling alcohol and the pub will be closed.
- There will be a multitude of gastronomic delights, so we recommend eating on site instead of cooking, making it possible to travel more lightly.
Be considerate of others
- Please don't bring your own sound system. There will be no shortage of excellent sounds! If you wish to bring a small radio you can listen to the Festival Radio Station.
- Vehicles will be checked on the way in and the campsites patrolled for rogue stages and systems. Equipment found could be confiscated.
- Please respect the local residents' land and property.
- Don't trespass or maraud in the village, as this could threaten future Festivals.
- Follow the directions of officials and avoid going through the village when you leave.
Filthy Lucre
- For your own safety, carry only a small amount of cash.
- Only bring the credit cards you need and leave note of the numbers at home to make cancellation easier if they get lost or stolen.
- The NatWest Bank & NatWest Cash Machines are situated near the farmhouse.
- The opening hours for the NatWest Cashier Service are:
Thursday 10am - 5.30pm, Friday to Sunday 9am - 5.30pm, Monday 9am - 12 noon.
(NatWest do not charge customers for this service.)
- One cheque a day can be cashed with a bankcard up to the limit of the card. A whole cheque book (with just a few cheques inside for security reasons) is needed. Make sure the calender slip is in the back. There may be additional security checks that will also have to be completed.
- Four NatWest Cash machines are open 24 hours a day from Thursday 10am to Monday 12 noon, accepting all major debit & credit cards. NatWest staff will inspect your card before use to protect the machines from damage. NatWest do not charge customers for this service.
- 24 hour Link machines can be found near the Other Medical Centre.
- Go with a friend for company and security.
