Medical Do's and Dont's
12 Jun 2003Do’s and dont's
Remember to bring your medication
FMS can look it for you if it needs to be kept in the fridge
If you do forget anything, tell FMS! They can usually obtain further supplies.
Be prepared for almost any weather
Bring sun protection, warm clothes and wet weather gear – and a spare pair of shoes!
Beware of wax flares and candles
Every year these cause nasty, sight-threatening eye injuries
Be very careful with gas canisters
Never change these in or near a tent and make sure the canister is properly threaded in before lighting. Camping gas accidents are the commonest cause of serious burns at festivals
Don’t forget safe sex
Condoms protect against unwanted infections as well as unwanted pregnancies
Drugs and alcohol
These can have unexpected and alarming effects in the festival environment, especially when mixed together
Don’t try to blag methadone. FMS does not prescribe or dispense Controlled Drugs and makes no exceptions, however convincing the story.
