The Big Red Bus
29 Jun 2003The Big Red Bus in the Kidz Field is home for the duration of the festival to the Letts family and their friends, Glastonbury regulars since the year dot. This year they are responsible for a marvellous little tent full of conscientious face painters like Max Butler, a teenager on his second visit here whose daily shift is “four to five hours of fun.” There is a real sense of community amongst this bunch of old-timers who started off their festival days in the Green Kids area many years ago. The full extraordinary story of the Big Red Bus; home-cum-catering outlet-cum gallery-cum campaign vehicle can be found on the Left Field pages. But meanwhile here is Max, diligently painting Jamie.
