PCs Can't Plod
29 Jun 2003In the Dance Tent there is a large, serious-looking policeman struggling for five minutes to hear and be heard on his mobile over the Brighton Boy's set - turned up to a shattering 13.
"This has to be the maddest place I've ever seen someone try to make a phone call" I yell in his ear.
"Yes I know" he bellows back, "But it's Norman Cook! And I'm ringing my friend or she won't believe I'm actually here...I wish I could get all this Police stuff off and just have a good time...."
